Produced a 20 minute film from script development to completion. The narrative was based on actual events when a young hispanic reporter happened to be at the scene when there was a gas explosion in Harlem.
The film features celebrities Anthony Michael Hall, as the newspaper’s editor and Maggie Mathison, a senior reporter and mentor to our protagonist.
We staged a building fire in Harlem with pyrotechnics, NYPD, Firemen, and 125 extras.
In another scene, we filmed underground graffiti artists tagging an abandoned grain terminal in Redhook, BK.
We shot for weeks, huddled in a “video village van” because it was winter in NY, 18 degrees. Good Times!
